Higher education institutions are notoriously some of the most prominent bastions of liberalism in the United States. Lockstep with far-left Democrat lawmakers, faculty in colleges and universities across the nation are using their platform to indoctrinate students with anti-Semitic ideology.

According to a new report published in September by the nonprofit AMCHA Initiative, anti-Semitic harassment targeting pro-Israel students has reached “near-historic levels,” spiking by 70 percent from 2017 to 2018, with students and faculty members intimidating Israel-supporting students to the extent they feel they are unsafe.

Students who openly support Israel in colleges and universities are being increasingly castigated for “hate speech” as they endure violent threats by their Boycott, Divestment and Sanction (BDS) movement-supporting peers, reports AMCHA.

According to AMCHA, pro-Israel and Jewish students castigated have been 147 percent times more marginalized as “white supremacists” since 2017, while “antisemitic acts involving the singling out of Jewish and pro-Israel students and groups for personal vilification more than doubled.”

“Antisemitic acts involving the unfair treatment of Jewish and pro-Israel students or attempts to exclude them from campus activities more than doubled,” the report continues, “with expression calling for the total boycott or exclusion of Zionist students or expression from campus life nearly tripling.”

Expression amongst students and faculty demonizing and delegitimizing Israel rose by 32 percent, while the number of students accused of supporting “white supremacy” amid their support for Israel more than doubled, according to the report.

Students and professors are calling for Israel to be targeted by terror attacks, AMCHA notes, warning “expression promoting or condoning terrorism against Israel increased by 67 percent.”

Tammi Rossman-Benjamin, director of AMCHA, which monitors antisemitism on more than 400 college campuses, warns college faculty members are using classrooms across the country to proselytize hatred against Jews.

“Academic BDS is more dangerous than people realize,” she said in a statement. “Not only does implementation curtail students’ educational rights and opportunities, its promotion on campus, particularly by faculty who give it academic legitimacy, is inciting an alarming increase in harassment against Israel’s presumed supporters, first and foremost Jewish students. Administrators must take the necessary steps now to stop these unacceptable acts of intolerance.”

UNITED NATIONS WARNS OF RISE IN ANTI-SEMITISM IN FIRST EVER REPORT

Meanwhile, self-ascribed “Squad” members, freshman Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, have become the definitional face for the Democrat Party after garnering the national spotlight for frequently espousing anti-Semitic tropes and spearheading legislation to wage economic warfare on Israel.

Ocasio-Cortez ignited backlash from Holocaust survivors for repeatedly accusing the U.S. government of running concentration camps by detaining illegal aliens in detention centers along the southern border. Days after the New York congresswoman first likened the detention of illegal immigrants to Nazism and mass genocide, Antifa member William Van Spronsen, armed with a rifle and flares, stormed an ICE center in Tacoma, Washington and attempted to ignite a propane tank on the premises.

Tlaib and Omar, who have repeatedly headlined fundraisers for the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations, were banned entry from Israel sponsoring legislation to boycott the Jewish state.

“Omar and Tlaib want to make Israel hating a normal, if not critical, element of American politics,” American Thinker’s Robert Goldberg contends, and “have made spectacular progress in the short time they have been in Congress. The media has taken up their bogus assertion that singling out Israel for condemnation and isolation isn’t anti-Semitism. And not one Democratic candidate for president supports a bill adding BDS to the anti-boycott provisions in the Export Administration Act forbidding US companies and their subsidiaries from complying with or supporting a foreign country’s boycott of another country.”
