Ilhan Omar under Fire After Violent Crime Increases In Her District

The brutal beating has gone viral.

For obvious reasons, the mainstream media has largely ignored America’s latest brutal hate crime, wherein a group of black youths beat the daylights out of a defenseless white man in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Video footage shows the gang of men punching, kicking, stomping on, riding a bicycle over the victim, and at one point even stripping his clothes off and emptying the pockets in what appeared to be a robbery and/or humiliation tactic.

The fact that the brutal crime occurred in Democrat and Somali-born Muslim Rep. Ilhan Omar’s congressional district has not been lost to right-wing internet commentators.

“A group of Somali’s in @IlhanMN’s district we’re caught brutally beating & robbing a man. This is the latest in a string of violent robberies by Somali gangs. Wait til they do this to a CCW holder & the left demonizes them for shooting to save their life,” Robby Starbuck said.

A GOP opponent to Omar, Danielle Stella, chimed in too, saying “it is clear that [Omar] doesn’t care [about Minneapolis].”

Conservative author and commentator Pam Geller didn’t let Omar off the hook either. She posted the video and linked to a piece on her website about Somali Americans joining gangs.

More than a dozen people were arrested for the brutal beating, which occurred outside Target Field, home to the Minnesota Twins.

“According to a report provided by Minneapolis police spokesperson John Elder, a three-day sweep conducted two weeks ago ended with police arresting 16 people between the ages of 13 and 25,” KSTP said. “The suspects are seen on surveillance video punching, kicking and riding over one man with a bike.”

One of the suspects, Boris Likuwa Lusumbo, age 20, was recognized by police from the surveillance video. He was known to police from past crimes, and charged with first-degree aggravated robbery after admitting that he was one of the suspects. He faces up to 20 years in jail.

Other suspects identified by police were Adrian Jamal Cooper, age 25 who said the incident began with a phone robbery and escalated from there. He reportedly said he had nothing to do with the robbery, but admitted to hitting the victim. Antonio Kolli Morrow, age 21 was also arrested. He claimed he did not know any of the other assailants, but admitted to stealing the victim’s wallet. He too, was charged with first-degree aggravated robbery and faces up to 20 years in jail.

The last named suspect, Jamar Shamar Robinson, age 20, was charged with first degree aggravated robbery and third-degree riot. He admitted that he was in the video, but did not admit to physically striking the victim or stealing from him. He faces up to 21 years in jail.

The report said that Minneapolis has seen a striking 53% increase in this type of robbery since last year, coinciding with the election of Omar. Police are on the lookout for similar gangs preying on sole victims and stealing their smartphones.

Omar has not commented on the gang robbery issue, and has failed to acknowledge the video which was linked on Drudge Report, and has more than 1.5 million views on the Twitter account where it was originally posted.
