A video has surfaced of the attorney for Christine Blasey Ford, who accused Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh of being a sexual predator in an effort to thwart his confirmation, discussing the true motives for Blasey Ford’s dog-and-pony show before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.

“[Kavanaugh] will always have an asterisk next to his name,” attorney Deborah Katz said in a newly surfaced video.

“When he takes a scalpel to Roe V. Wade, we will know who he is, we know his character, and we know what motivates him,” she said. “And that is important. It is important that we know, and that was part of what motivated Christine.”

Oops! Katz accidentally spilled the beans during a talk at the University of Baltimore on April 12.

Blasey Ford mentioned nothing about Roe v. Wade, widely credited as the landmark Supreme Court decision allowing unfettered access to abortion in the United States, when she gave her teary-eyed testimony in front of the Judiciary Committee. Conservatives said from the beginning of the ordeal that the accusations against Kavanaugh were false, and used only as a political tool to try to stop him from tipping the Supreme Court in favor of conservatives who might overturn Roe V. Wade. In fact, her stated reasons for appearing before the Committee were quite different.

“I’m here because I believe it is my civic duty to tell you what happened to me,” Blasey Ford said under oath.

“My motivation in coming forward was to be helpful, and to provide facts about how Mr. Kavanaugh’s actions have damaged my life, so that you could take [them] into serious consideration as you make your decision,” she said later.

You might recall that Kavanaugh was mercilessly crushed by the Democrats on the Judiciary Committee and the leftist seek-and-destroy media, despite the fact that there was no evidence to support Blasey Ford’s claims, other than her foggy memory of an event from decades ago.

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), a member of the Committee and now a presidential candidate, was particularly indignant during the hearing.

“Two things are clear: the White House needs to direct the FBI to re-open the background check before the Kavanaugh hearing and it is imperative that we hear from the other witnesses. During the Anita Hill hearing, the Senate heard from 22 witnesses,” she said on Twitter, attaching a video of a cable news appearance.

The idea that Kavanaugh was not thoroughly vetted was a joke in the first place, but as Harris suggested, the White House did compel the FBI to do further background checks. They turned up clean, making him the most vetted Supreme Court nominee possibly in the history of the country.

When that failed, Harris attacked him anyway.

“The minimum standard for a SCOTUS nominee should be someone who demonstrates impartiality, integrity, and truthfulness — Kavanaugh hasn’t demonstrated those qualities. Every American is entitled to the benefit of the doubt, but nobody is entitled to a seat on the Supreme Court,” she said.

Now we know, thanks to Katz’s admission, that the motivation for these attacks was not pure. Rather, it was a disgusting political hatchet job meant for the left to keep its precious “right” to murder infants in the womb.

How demonic is that?
