ICE Arrest Leads to Conviction in Sex Trafficking Case

Meanwhile, Democrats continue to trash ICE.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and its partner organization Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) announced Thursday that a man whom they investigated and arrested had been convicted on sex trafficking charges.

“Reginald Abraham, 51, was convicted in Boston of four counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion. Abraham, who was arrested, charged and has been held in federal custody since September 2017, will remain in custody until his sentencing in November,” according to an ICE press release.

The release said that Abraham would use social media to lure young women, all from Maine, to live with him in Massachusetts. He would pick his victims up individually, bring them to his Massachusetts home, and then sell them into sex slavery as prostitutes. ICE said it learned about his activities from some of his victims, and began investigating Abraham in 2017.

“After arriving at his home, Abraham forced the women into prostitution throughout New England,” the release said. “He maintained his control over these victims through the use of physical violence, threats, rape, and the giving and withholding of drugs, including heroin and crack cocaine. The trafficking of his victims continued over a period of years, from 2012 through 2016.”

Abraham’s crimes demand a mandatory 15 year minimum prison sentence, and up to life in prison, along with a $250,000 fine.

The arrest comes at a time of increasing hostility from members of Congress towards the law enforcement operation. Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) have called to eliminate the organization.

The rhetoric of Islamic Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and other radical leftists might have inspired the attempted bombing of a Washington U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility early Saturday morning.

“We have rogue agencies that have no accountability, no transparency, in how they conduct their business,” Omar said of ICE last week. “We know that they have spoken in the most vile ways about immigrants. We know that they have certain views about, you know, what brown and black people deserve. And so we should be having a conversation about eliminating their existence.”

When 69-year-old Willem Van Spronsen approached an ICE detention center in Tacoma, Washington with homemade bombs, he might just have been answering Omar’s call. Van Spronsen, described as “indigent,” was a longtime member of Antifa, a loosely-affiliate group whose actions have been defended by Islamic leftist politicians and nonprofits.

When conservative journalist Andy Ngo was brutally beaten by a group of Antifa terrorists two weeks again, Oregon’s Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) defended the attackers by claiming that Ngo was not a journalist.

“The Board Chair of Oregon’s chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a group that is linked to HAMAS and is a designated terror organization in the United Arab Emirates, aligned himself with Antifa in the wake of journalist Andy Ngo’s savage beating in Portland over the weekend,” we reported. Zakir Khan first suggested that Ngo was not a journalist, which has been a common tactic in de-legitimizing the attack against him, as though somehow beating a private citizen who is not a journalist makes Antifa more virtuous.”
