When Scott Greer first Tweeted a photo of an attractive U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) guard at a detention facility Saturday, it was intended as a joke.

“Nothing but respect for our Latina concentration camp guards,” he said, poking fun at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who has been engulfed in controversy since invoking the Holocaust as an argument against detaining illegal aliens.

Over the next three days, the photo went viral, evoking thousands of “she can detain me anytime,” type takes on Twitter.

“Holy s***! #IceBae is real and she fine AF! WTF?! I think I’m coming down with a case of undocumentation!” popular right-wing account @VibeHi said.

A Twitter account, which purported to be CBP guard Kiara Cervantes, surfaced Monday.

“Just woke up … saw that I needed to make a video so y’all could believe that it’s me,” said the woman who claimed to be Cervantes, according to The New York Post. “It’s me – I’m a Customs officer based in Texas and yeah, I don’t know what else to say.”

Since then, the account has been mysteriously deleted. Another has popped up, also claiming to belong to the young woman.

“WOW I am in awe,” that account said. “Thank you all for the support! My job is so hectic at this moment but I am grateful. I love protecting my country! And I love my supporters!”

“Soooo it’s crazy…. but here I am. I’m hearing something about a viral picture. I would like to say i was just doing my job.. providing security for the visit of @VP . It was an honor and I take a lot of pride in my job!” another Tweet from that account said.

The mystery over which account is real remains, but the person is real.

When The Post reached out to Cervantes for comment, she said she could not discuss the viral photos and video further until she “speaks to management with CBP.”
