‘Baby Trump’ Blimp Permitted To Fly In D.C. For ‘Salute to America’

In just two short years, President Trump has achieved historic results for our nation’s economy, creating over 6 million jobs since November 2016 and record-low unemployment.

The president is trying to bring peace to the Korean Peninsula, becoming the first sitting president to shake hands with North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un at the Demilitarized Zone between North and South Korea.

Yet, unhinged leftists are flying a “Baby Trump” balloon on the National Mall in Washington D.C. this Fourth of July, protesting the Trump administration’s handling of the border crisis and “spreading hate and racism across the U.S. and the world.”

The far left activist group Code Pink received a permit from the park service allowing the organization to fly a 20-foot long “Baby Trump” balloon to show opposition to “Salute to America,” a political event called by the president on July 4, WJLA reported.

Codepink issued a statement claiming Trump is politicizing Independence Day with his racist policies.

“Trump’s America has been one of putting children in cages, dangerous instigation towards war with Iran, banning refugees and immigrants, aligning with the murderous Saudi regime, supporting Israel’s occupation of Palestinian land, and spreading hate and racism,” the group said. “On the 4th of July, Trump plans to bring those sentiments to what has traditionally been a nonpartisan holiday in D.C.”

The balloon is slated to fly during the president address to the country from the Lincoln Memorial during the Salute to America.

Gregory Lee Johnson, who recently settled for $225,000 with the city of Cleveland for burning an American flag outside of the Republican National Convention in 2016, is protesting the president as well.

“I am going to D.C. on the Fourth of July and I’m going to burn the flag in protest (of his) whole fascist agenda,” Johnson told USA TODAY. “Think about all Trump has done to whip people into a frenzy,” he said.

Salute for America is featuring flyovers of the Blue Angels and Air Force One, a lineup of military vehicles including tanks and a pyrotechnic display that will light up the sky for over a mile to the left and right of the Lincoln Memorial, according the firework makers Phantom and Grucci which is donating extra pyrotechnics.

The Pentagon has approved Trump’s request for a display of tanks in conjunction with his “Salute to America” celebration. The tanks will be parked near the National Mall for the July 4 celebration, Trump told reporters Monday.

“We’re gonna have some tanks stationed outside,” Trump said. “You know we’re making a lot of new tanks right now.”
