Progressive billionaire Tom Steyer is slated to air an advertising campaign on Fox & Friends, the President Trump favorite television program, demanding the president be impeached.
“Right now, Donald Trump is committing crimes in the open,” Steyer claims in the ad. He then references Trump’s recent remarks in which he explains he’d consider accepting opposition research on his 2020 Democratic rivals.
The longtime Democrat donor’s ad also highlights the Trump administration’s ongoing fight with House Democrats over subpoenas.
“The Mueller report identified multiple instances of obstruction of justice,” Steyer laments. “Congress, and that means both parties, must put their own political interests aside and focus on what’s right for our country. America will move forward as soon as leaders stop acting on their own interest, start leveling with voters and do what’s right.
Steyer’s San Francisco based group, Need to Impeach will reportedly spend $700,000 on a 60 second ad scheduled to broadcast on the Fox News Channel when the president is likely to be watching the cable news network.
The ad will also be aired on CNN, MSNBC and other cable networks as the primaries kick off.
Steyer warns House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who has repeatedly stated there are no plans to support impeachment proceedings, is jeopardizing the U.S. legal system by ignoring demands for Trump to be removed from office.
“Speaker Pelosi thinks ‘he’s just not worth it?’ Well, is defending our legal system ‘worth it?’ Is holding the president accountable for his crimes and cover-ups ‘worth it?’ Is doing what is right ‘worth it?’ Or shall America just stop fighting for our principles and do what’s politically convenient,” he admonished.
Bipartisan support for Trump is important before pursuing impeachment, Pelosi said Wednesday.
“It is important for the American people to see the purpose on why we’re going forward,” she explained at a Christian Science Monitor event. “It is important for the American people to see the purpose of why we’re going forward. If you’re going to go down this path you have to make sure the public has an understanding of why.
“I don’t think you should have an inquiry unless you’re ready to impeach. I feel no pressure from my members to do anything. I have no pressure on them to do anything.”
Since 2016, Fox News Channel has been criticized by its viewer for becoming more left-leaning. The network was blasted on Twitter for airing Steyer’s impeachment ad.
The globalist Murdoch-owned network has hired Donna Brazile, added Paul Ryan to its board, and suspended its host Judge Jeanine Pirro for questioning Islam’s compatibility with the US Constitution. Fox News also backed CNN and Jim Acosta lawsuit against the Trump administration.
Murdoch opposed the candidacy of Donald Trump, writing New York Post and Wall Street Journal editorials hammered the Trump candidacy in the summer of 2015. Murdoch also wrote a $200,000 check to John Kasich’s super PAC, as the Times Magazine notes.

Meanwhile, 69 Democrats and one Republican have emphatically and persistently demanded the president be impeached. Muslim Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) who vowed upon taking office to “impeach the motherfucker, Alexandria Cortez (D-NY) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN) warn Pelosi is creating a rift within the Democrat Party with her resistance to move forward with removing Trump.
Division among Democrats who are not in solidarity with impeaching Trump is “quite real,” Cortez told ABC’s This Week Sunday. “There is a very real animus and desire to make sure that we are holding this president account. I think that impeachment is incredibly serious and this is about the presence and evidence that the president may have committed a crime, in the case, more than one.”
She added, “Our decision should be based in our constitutional responsibilities and duties and not in our election polling.”
