It was reported this week by David Rutz of the Washington Free Beacon that Minneapolis-based newspaper, the “Star Tribune” has railed against Rep. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.) in light of her ever-increasing plethora of moral, ethical, and, indeed, anti-American offenses.

Given the number of offenses Mrs. Omar has committed over the course of the last several years, reference to them must necessarily be rather summary. The most recent concerns the misappropriation of campaign finances, confirming the investigative journalism of Laura Loomer, who confronted then candidate Omar on video about her campaign finance violations in August, 2018 at a joint campaign event with Rashida Tlaib in Minneapolis.

The Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board ruled that Rep. Omar has misused campaign finances to fund a personal holiday to Florida as well as trips to Boston and Chicago, as well as using campaign funds to pay for a divorce attorney who facilitated the divorce between Omar and her alleged brother. Omar was on paper being married to two men, one of whom is said to be her biological brother. She has been ordered to pay $500 dollars to the state and $3500 to her campaign committee.

An even more egregious offense (and the one that roused her repudiation by the Star Tribune) was the matter of her filing a joint tax return for the years of 2014 and 2015 with fellow Somali immigrant, Ahmed Hirsi despite being married to another man.

In October 2018, Loomer exposed the Star Tribune’s bias after being tipped off about how they had mural hanging in their headquarter office of Omar, who was then still a candidate for Congress.

The previous summery treatment the Star Tribune gave Omar has taken a delightfully icy turn now that her recent crimes as well as her “past missteps” were formally acknowledged by the Star Tribune editorial board. Time will tell how much longer it will be before the rest of the Minnesota media begins to actually report on Omar’s trail of improprieties.

There’s a lot to report on…
